About me
I have always felt a strong connection with nature and animals and have experienced their powerful and healing energies throughout my life. It is my belief that animals have the right to live and belong as much as we do and to be able to be their true selves, which made me become Vegan in 2009.
I currently live with four animal friends, three rescue cats - Isabella, Louis, Emile and a rescue dog – Grace.
Since 2008, I have trained in Animal Communication with Kathryn Ronayne, Pea Horsley, Amelia Kinkade and Jackie Weaver and in 2011, I received a Diploma in Animal Healing from the Healing Animals Organisation.
In 2021, I undertook Equine Reiki 1 - Basic Course and Equine Reiki 2 - Advanced Course with Sarah Berrisford of Epona Equine Reiki Centre.
I volunteered weekly with the rescue dogs at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home in London. I did in-kennel meditative sessions with the dogs. It was wonderful to see dogs who are waiting to be rehomed, getting some relaxation and respite from stressful kennel life. I also ran weekly Mindfulness and Meditation sessions for Staff and Volunteers.
I believe that constant learning and exploring is essential and I am dedicated to ongoing professional development in my work with animals and humans.
I work with humans as a registered Psychotherapist and Counsellor, which gives me a unique understanding into the relationship and dynamics between humans and their animal friends - www.alisontaylorreed.co.uk. I am an accredited member of BACP.
“Sammy had a wonderful communication with Alison, I knew she had the right animal as soon as she described him as not being very brave and that he is a sensitive chap – that was so spot on. I was able to ask any question I wanted and Alison was able to share with me Sammy’s answers. It was amazing and through the experience Sam lay at my feet and seemed perfectly happy to be taking part. The communication has helped Sammy and I to understand each other better and I now also know how to take care of him when he is scared of loud bangs such as fireworks. Thank you Alison for helping us have a better understanding of how Sammy feels and what we can do to make his life more comfortable.”
